If your priority is cost then we guarantee to use the most economical method. If time is more of a priority then we will use the quickest method. Whatever your criterior we will limit the amount of damage, both to your door and your pocket. By using techniques developed through experience, research and regular contact with other members of the Master Locksmiths Association we can offer the widest range and most up to date methods available. | | | A significant part of our work is in the supply and installation of locks and associated ironmongery to aluminium curtain wall fabricators. We supply and fit specialist locks and access control devices to aluminium doors and frames. We have the tools and equipment to allow us rout out for Adams Rite locks and releases, shearmags and solinoid bolts in the same way as it would be done on the bench during the fabrication of the door or frame. | | Another regular request is to drill through, from the lock to the hinge side of wooden doors to provide a cableway for the connection of electrical locks to the associated access control hardware. So electrically operated Abloy locks, for example, can be used to provide a higher level of security.
The picture shows the hinge side of a 1 metre wide door, which was rebated on both edges, with a 10mm hole drilled through from the lockcase mortice. The lock was fitted, as is common in Scandinavian countries, not centrally but offset onto the section clear of the rebate. Our cableway hole was also drilled offset, in line with the lockcase mortice. Effectively making the drilled hole just 12 to 15mm in from the surface of the door.
